Hello Hailey,

It has been a while since I've checked in at the Haiku Cafe. I have not been writing anything that is strictly by myself/for myself. I have had the time, but I haven't been in the right frame of mind for it, I guess. Besides Haiku, I like writing free style poems and I have also dabbled a bit in writing song lyrics, though I am not a musician. When I start writing my stuff again, I'll share some of the Haiku here.

Sometimes, it's tough for me to decide what to share with others, especially if the subject matter is personal or could be offensive to someone. Also, I try not to ask questions or comment about others personal writings because I don't want to pry or offend anyone.

I haven't totally been away from writing. I may or may not have mentioned before that two friends of mine have been co-authoring a book (commercial fiction). Well, a couple of years ago, on a Monday night, they asked me to sit-in with them and I've been a small part of the process since. The book is pretty much completed, and they may take the hybrid-publishing route, which will ensure that the finished product will be available this year. We are excited about it.

Hailey, I hope this note finds you doing well. I enjoy your poetry and I enjoyed co-writing a few poems. I will try to check in at the Haiku Cafe more often. Ciao for now.
